Master’s Declaration

“I … do solemnly and sincerely declare that I will be loyal and true to our Sovereign Lady, Queen Elizabeth the Second and to her Heirs and lawful successors AND that I will undertake the duties of Master of the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners and will conscientiously carry out the duties of that Office to be the best of my skill and ability.”

Warden’s Declaration

“I … do solemnly and sincerely declare that I will be loyal and true to our Sovereign Lady, Queen Elizabeth the Second, and to her Heirs and lawful successors AND that I will well and truly carry out the duties of Warden of the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners to the best of my skill and ability, and will support and assist the Master thereof so long as he shall serve.”

Clerk’s Declaration

“I … do solemnly and sincerely declare that I shall perform the duties of Clerk to the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners within the City of London so long as I continue to be their Clerk and shall be willing and ready (having no leave or lawful let to the Contrary) to attend the Master, Wardens and Court when they shall require me for the lawful business as their Clerk and shall endeavour to make true entries of all things belonging to my Office and Committed to my Charge without partiality for Favour, Affection, Lucre, Gain, Hatred or Malice and shall not wittingly or willingly commit or do anything to prejudice, hurt or Damage of the said Master. Wardens and Court but well and truly shall execute my said Office so near as a good and faithful Clerk ought to do. So help me God.”

Almoner’s Declaration

“I … do solemnly and sincerely declare that in accepting the appointment of the Office of Almoner of the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners, I will support the Master, Wardens, Court of Assistants. Clerk, Liverymen, Freemen, and their widows and widowers, without partiality for Favour, Affection, Lucre, Gain, Hatred, or Malice, and shall not wittingly or willingly commit or do anything to prejudice, hurt or damage of the said Master, Wardens and Court, but well and truly shall execute my said Office so near as a good and faithful Almoner ought to do. So help me God.”

Beadle’s Declaration

“I … do solemnly and sincerely declare that I will be loyal and true to our Sovereign Lady Queen Elizabeth the Second and to her Heirs and Successors. I also declare that in accepting the appointment of the Office of Beadle to the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners I will well and truly discharge the duties of Beadle and to the best of my skill and ability and will support and assist the Master, Wardens, Members of the Court of Assistants and Clerk at all occasions when my presence is required. So help me God.”

Court Assistant’s Declaration

“I … swear to be true to our Sovereign Lady, Queen Elizabeth the Second and to her Heirs and Successors and shall in all matters be obedient to the Master and Wardens of the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners for the time being in that Office and shall be obedient and ready to perform all lawful Ordinances and laudable Acts, as an Assistant ought to do, made or to be made hereafter for the preservation and guiding of the said Worshipful Company. AND I shall be ready to come to all the lawful meetings upon warning given to me by the Clerk or others on the behalf of the Master and Wardens, except that I have reasonable excuse, without failing or delays. I shall observe and keep and to the best of my power shall cause to be observed and kept, all the lawful Ordinances and Statutes made and hereafter to be made for the government and guiding of the same Company. I shall also keep all such things as by way of council shall be communicated at any time or times of Assembly by the Master, Wardens and my fellow Assistants, and not disclose the same to any person. So help me God.”
