Fine dining, excellent entertainment and the chance to mix with other Company members were on the menu at the recent charity ball and ladies luncheon.
Thou shall go to the ball
This year’s charity ball was a spectacular event full of fun, food and fabulous fireworks all while raising money for the Charity Trust. Held at Coq D’Argent in October, it was attended by 130 members, families and friends.
There was sumptuous food, and singer James Ford and saxophonist Pablo Melgar entertained the diners.
After dinner, revellers could dance the night away to the sounds of Justin Leader of Evolution Discos, before enjoying a spectacular fireworks display from the rooftop of the City provided by Absolutely Fabulous Fireworks.
A good time was had by all, but most importantly a magnificent £31,100 was raised for the Charity Trust.
Thank you to everyone involved and we hope you’ll be back for more of the same in 2017.
Lunch at The Savoy
This year’s ladies luncheon, attended by 125 members, their families and friends, was held at The Savoy in November.
Along with a lovely three-course meal, attendees were treated to entertainment from students of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama who performed by kind permission of the school principal.
This was followed by our Principal Speaker, 2014 / 2015 Non-Aldermanic Sheriff Fiona Adler, who spoke about her year, some of the memorable events and notable people she had met.
