In a year marked by a series of national commemorations, another special occasion is looming in September.
The Annual Military Awards – to be held at Fishmongers’ Hall on Wednesday 23 September – is one of the most popular events in the Worshipful Company’s calendar.
So we advise booking as soon as possible to secure places for members and guests at the reception and luncheon.
It is a celebratory occasion, recognising the excellence of the dedicated professionals of our Affiliates in the defence forces.
Members and guests who have attended previous Military Awards have remarked on the pride and humility of the recipients who serve their country at home and overseas.
The Company takes great pride in honouring the achievements of the Royal Army Medical Corps, the RAF Environmental Health Cadre, Reserve Forces and our affiliated cadet units.
We look forward to another memorable occasion sure to be no less poignant in a year that has seen evocative commemorations, from Agincourt and Dunkirk to Gallipoli and Waterloo.
Our venue is one of London’s finest riverside settings, where we can all savour its excellent contemporary cuisine amid the hall’s historic splendour.
As usual, the Company General Meeting and Court Meeting will take place in the morning before a coffee reception for all members and guests.
The presentation ceremony is then followed by a drinks reception before lunch.
