Treloar Talks At Glaziers

Sir William Purdie Treloar set up a ‘Cripples Fund’ during his year as Lord Mayor in 1907 and having successfully raised £10, 000 he took over the site in Alton with the aim of building a hospital and school outside London for children with non-pulmonary tuberculosis.

The school has continued to develop since that time and has become one of the country’s leading centres for the education, care, therapy, medical support and independence training for disabled young people.
The school continues to benefit from City of London support by:

1.  Lord Mayors automatically become a Trustee
2.  The Lord Mayor visits with many Livery Masters  each year
3.  The Mansion House Concert and Gala Charity Dinner
4.  Many Livery Companies, including our own,  continue to provide support and funding.

This years Treloar talks will play host to a variety of inspirational speakers from Gold medal winners to avid explorers. The evening will take place on 28th March 2018 at Galzier Hall. All funds raised will aid in supporting disabled young people attending Trelour’s. Click the link below to find out more and book your place.
