Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all the Environmental Cleaners’ members, families and friends.
Thanks for your involvement this year and we look forward to seeing you in 2017!
Highlights of the year
2016 was another busy year for the Environmental Cleaners. A few highlights include:
- The installation of Philip Morrish as our new Master.
- The launch of our new website (and Speed Read!).
- The annual Military Awards ceremony.
- The presentation of the 2016 Eric Hill Memorial Award.
- The installation of the newest Lord Mayor of London (The new Lord Mayor, Dr Andrew Parmley, is an Honorary Freeman of our company).
- The celebration of our 30th Anniversary of becoming a livery company.
Absent friends
Sadly, some of our members passed away this year. We’d like to take this opportunity to recognise the contribution they made to the Environmental Cleaners. Our thoughts are with their family and friends, especially at this time of year.
Carols in the heart of London
If you are looking for a final event to get you in the Christmas spirit, then a St. Paul’s Carol Service could be for you. They take place at 4pm on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 December.
The doors open at 3pm, but the services are very popular and queuing begins early!
Root and branch
The prestigious City Livery Club Root and Branch Award is now open for nominations. The award celebrates the achievements of those who have delivered exceptional service within and across the livery companies.
The award winners will have demonstrated any or all of the following skills; leadership, innovation, development, creativity, responsibility and generosity.
The formal nomination must be received from a Livery Company.
If you would like to nominate someone, please contact the Clerk.
