Welcome to the latest Speed Read. It’s our way of keeping you up to date with Livery Company and City of London life, initiatives and events.
If you are a member of the Environmental Cleaners and did not receive a copy of Speed Read by email, please check you spam folder in case it has been caught in that. If not, please email Alistair Moses.
Although meeting up in person will always be central to livery companies, we know there are times people can’t attend meetings and events, or want to get in touch in other ways. To help this happen there’s a LinkedIn group for Environmental Cleaners’ members.
It’s a private group, but all members will be quickly approved by the Clerk if they wish to join.
Some of you were members of a previous group, but this had to be closed so that the Clerk could become the administrator. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We hope you find this extra way to be involved in the Environmental Cleaners useful, but of course look forward to seeing you in person soon!
Making a difference
The latest blog post by our Master, Philip Morrish, has been published on the website. In it Philip updates us on his recent visit to Treloar’s and the importance of the charitable work of the Environmental Cleaners.
Shooting for the stars
The Worshipful Company of Horners’ ‘Bucks & Does’ Clay Pigeon Day takes place at Bisley Shooting Ground on Monday 25 September 2017. The event – in aid of the Army Benevolent Fund – is for teams of four. If individual Liverymen would like to enter then teams will be assembled on the day.
For more information and to book your place see the application form.
Multiple chances for a hole in one
