All you need to know about the 2019 Sustainable City Awards
The Sustainable City Awards aims to recognise, reward and promote innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership in sustainability.

Key dates Launch of awards – 21st January 2019Closing date for applications – 12th April 2019Judging – during the week commencing 22nd April 2019 Awards Ceremony – date to be announced in July 2019
Who can enter?

The Sustainable City Awards are free to enter and open to all types of organisations from the private and public sectors across the country. Whether you represent a multinational corporation or a community-run action group, your application is welcomed. The Sustainable City Awards have been designed to allow all organisations, no matter how large or small, to compete on an equal basis. Although the Ceremony takes place in SIEMENS Crystal building in Greenwich, applications from all across the UK are welcomed.

The Red Cross Christmas Market 2019 While some may still be feeling the Christmas spirit, many of you have likely entered back into the usual work ‘flow’. But before you settle in too much, let us remind you of this year’s Red Cross Christmas Market – it may come around quicker than you realise!This is major fund raiser for the City Branch of the Red Cross, so any help appreciated. We are drawing special attention to the  “Sparkling Preview” on Monday Evening 25th November, which will be attended by many Senior Livery and Guild Members. This event will be held in the Presence of Princess Alexandria and the full Mayoral party.

Explore the impact of faith on our city 
  The WCOMC (https://wcomc.org/) Faith Group was formed in 2014 and aims to explore the impact of faith on people’s working lives, both in the City and the wider Livery movement, by holding evening events each year and inviting eminent speakers to address relevant topics.

Load your weapons for this year’s Inter-Livery clay shoot This year’s famous Clay Shoot will take place on Thursday 16th May 2019 at Holland & Holland Shooting Grounds, Ducks Hill Road, Northwood, Middlesex HA6 2SS Anyone wishing to participate is requested to bring their own gun and to bring their gun licence with them (Guns are also provided on each stand if required).  This year the cost of the day’s shooting is £195.00.  Tickets for non-shooting guests are available for £45.00.  If interested, cheques should be sent to Ceris Burns, c/o Ceris Burns International Ltd, Rowan Fields, Tanyard Lane, Chelwood Gate, East Sussex RH17 7LY.  Cheques should be made payable to ‘The Inter-Livery Clay Shoot’.Before sending your cheques, please confirm your interest.  Payment should be made by 15th February 2019.

Strictly Trial and Error 2019 
 
This year The Sheriffs’ & Recorder’s Fund will be holding the Strictly Trial and Error event on the 11th-13th March. The fund has been established since 1808 and aims to assist ex-offenders, charities within the Prison Service and and PAN Intercultural Arts helping victims of Human Trafficking.
