Clay Shooting for Macmillan Cancer Research

Court Assistant Ceris Burns and her team competed on behalf of the WCEC at the Inter Livery Clay shoot held at the Holland and Holland shooting range on the 15th and 16th May 2019. 

On the 12th June the team attended the Guildhall where theywere presented with a wooden spoon and £500 to donate to Macmillan Cancer Research. Congratulations!
Mrs Ruth Wells and Mrs Janet King made Honorary Freemen 

The Master and Deputy Master hosted PME Donald Wells and PME Terry King and their consorts Mrs Ruth Wells and Mrs Janet King at a Luncheon at which both Mrs Wells and Mrs King we’re admitted to the Company as Honorary Freemen. They have been accorded the status of Honorary Freemen in recognition of their support of the Company.

Also in attendance were Mrs Carol Torbett and Mr Alec Marden

Silent Ceremony
The Silent Ceremony (Admission of the Lord Mayor), will take place on Friday 8th November 2019 at the Guildhall. Tickets will be available for application from 1st to 30th August 2019.

You can apply online via the Guildhall website from 1st August.

The Good, The Bad and the Horsey!

On the 10th of July the City of London Sheriffs will be taking to the streets of London on horse back in order to raise money for the Sheriff’s and Recorder’s fund.

Tour and Dinner at the Old Bailey
On the 22nd July the City of London will host the Sheriffs’ tour and supper at the Old Bailey. This event has received a fantastic response and promises to be a brilliant day.
