Hannah Shergold presents The Wild Collection, stunning new exhibition and private view
Internationally acclaimed wildlife artist and Wild Card winner for Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year 2019, Hannah Shergold, has kindly dedicated her new exhibition – The WILD Collection – to Born Free. The exhibition will take place at La Galleria, Pall Mall, from 17th – 29th June 2019, with an exclusive private view on Tuesday 18th June. The WILD Collection showcases Hannah’s beautiful original paintings of African wildlife including cheetah, elephants, lions and wolves, as well as UK wildlife such as mountain hares and grouse. Hannah’s background is far from traditional. Graduating from Cambridge University in 2006 with a degree in pre-clinical veterinary medicine and zoology, Hannah became a bronze sculptor, specialising in commissioned work of dogs and horses. In 2009, still eager for adventure, she joined the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and commissioned into the Army Air Corps. After an operational tour of Afghanistan with the infantry she completed the Army Pilots’ Course and flew the Lynx helicopter in Germany, Canada and Kenya. Following six months in Africa on medical evacuation duties, Hannah left the Armed Forces only a year ago and quickly established herself as a sought-after wildlife artist. See further details at: www.bornfree.org.uk/events/hannah-shergold

The wonderful music that adorns and enhances the Tower of London, which plays a central role at the Chapels Royal, is in need of on-going support.  You are invited to benefit from the music tradition as many others do within London. Attending the event will help to support music integral to the rich liturgy practiced at the Chapels Royal, where worship and music are balanced with a professional choir of 12 singers, the organist and the Master of Music.  The Chapel Music Friends community (leaflet attached), which is being launched officially on Wednesday 15th May with a musical event and reception in the Chapel Royal of St. Peter ad Vincula.
